The path bar contains a drop down list that shows the path of the currently selected sub-window. You can navigate within the file system by dropping down the list and selecting another folder or drive. Once you make a selection from the drop down list, the folder tree is updated to show the current path.
The path bar can be enabled or disabled by selecting Path Bar from the VIEW menu.
