Located at the top of the Live Help Expert window, the menu bar includes the SESSION, VIEW, TOOLS, OPTIONS, and HELP menus. You access menus using the mouse or keyboard.
Use the SESSION menu to create or join a support session, display a list of current session members, and exit a session. A list of most recently attended sessions appears below the Exit item.
Use the VIEW menu to control the appearance of the Live Help window.
The TOOLS menu contains functions for moving information or control between session members. From the menu, screen data, files, text messages, and clipboard data can be sent or received.
Use the OPTIONS menu to set or change configuration preferences such as your name, security choices, communications setup, remote control options, and screen transfer options.
The HELP menu provides assistance if you have questions about using the Live Help Expert application.
Status bar
Informational messages display in the status bar at the bottom of the window. For example, when a menu item is active, a description of the item displays. If Screen Transfers are in progress the status area reads, "Screens are being displayed in a window."
Also included in the status bar is the Session Length. It shows the amount of time that you have participated in the session, 2 minutes 54 seconds in our example.
In the next sections, we'll take a quick walk through using some of the main features of Live Help, such as Remote Control, Screen Transfers, and Client File Exchange.
