If an Operation Manager server where a large number of job nets and groups are registered is monitored from the Operation Manager client, the server response such as display indication may be delayed. In such cases, response can be improved by limiting the display indication on the client and projects to be targeted for operation.
Register and connect users for which the projects to be displayed and operated are limited, to improve response.
In the Set Permissions window, assign users with reference or operation rights to a minimum number of projects to be monitored. Do not give users any rights to projects that are not going to be monitored.
Connect to the Operation Manager server as the user registered in Step 1.
For details on setting, see "4.2.2 Setting up Access Permissions for Projects".
Up to 62 Operation Manager clients (Note) can be connected to the Operation Manager server (Jobscheduler function). However, more clients result in lower server response to individual client. Up to approximately eight Operation Manager clients can be simultaneously connected to a certain Operation Manager server. Limit the number of connectable clients as necessary.
Note) The maximum value may vary depending on the OS.
The number of connected clients can be limited by specifying Limit the Number of connected clients in the Use function2 sheet of the Define Jobscheduler Startup Parameters window on the environment setup client.
Note
Some users may request a refresh operation (press the F5 key) frequently to cope with deteriorated client response. However, such operation may prevent display indication to other users. Try not to request a refresh operation (press the F5 key) frequently even if response is deteriorated.
