6.4.3 Setting Filtering Conditions for the Server to be Monitored

It is possible to filter the status message list to be output to the status message list in the Multi-server Monitoring window. Two levels of filtering can be applied to the messages to be displayed.

Filtering to the server status or job net status tab

The status message to be output to the Server status tab and the Job net status tab can be limited by specifying filtering conditions. The messages matching the conditions are output to the Server status or the Job net status tab.

As default, the following status messages are output.

Job Net Status tab:

Abended/Warning/Canceled/Paused/Start delayed/End delayed/Carried over

Server Status tab:

All server statuses

Procedure

  1. Displaying the Message Filter Settings window

    Select Message Filter Settings from the Options menu of the Multi-server Monitoring window.

  2. Setting filter condition

    Specify conditions and click OK.

    Filter job net status:

    Specify the job net status to be output.

    • Select Status button:

      Displays the Select Status window. Select the job net status to be output.

    • Conditions:

      Displays the job net conditions selected in the Select Status window.

    Filter server status:

    Specify the server status to be output.

    • Select Status button:

      Displays the Select Status window. Select the server status to be output.

    • Conditions:

      Displays the server conditions selected in the Select Status window.

Filtering to the Filtering condition 1 to Filtering condition 5 tabs

The messages output to the Server status tab and the Job net status tab can be further filtered to the Filtering condition 1 to Filtering condition 5 tabs by specifying desired monitoring conditions. The messages matching the conditions will be displayed in the Filtering condition 1 to Filtering condition 5 tabs.

Procedure

  1. Displaying the Filtering Conditions for Status Messages window

    Select Filter Status Messages from the View menu of the Multi-server Monitoring window.

  2. Specifying filtering conditions

    Specify the filtering conditions in the Filtering Conditions for Status Messages window.

    Select a tab:

    Selects a tab on which the filtering conditions are to be set.

    Condition tab name:

    Specifies the name of the tab selected in Select a tab.

    Enable filtering conditions:

    Use this option to set the filtering conditions. It is not possible to select Filter job net status and Filter server status at the same time.

    Filter job net status:

    Specifies the filtering conditions for job nets.

    • Select Status button:

      Displays the Select Status window. Specify the filtering conditions.

    • Conditions:

      Displays the display conditions for the job net status selected in the Select Status window.

    Filter server status:

    Specifies the filtering conditions for server.

    • Select Status button:

      Displays the Select Status window. Specify the filtering conditions.

    • Conditions:

      Displays the display conditions for the server status selected in the Select Status window.

    Select host:

    Use this option to specify the host name.

    Host Name:

    Displays the server to be monitored specified in the Select Host window.

    Select Host button:

    Displays the Select Host window.

    Specify the time period:

    Specifies a time range for the filtering condition.

  3. Displaying the Select Status window

    After selecting Filter job net status or Filter server status in Select Status, click the Select Status button.

  4. Setting status

    Specify the filtering conditions. If Filter job net status is selected in Select Status, a list of job net statuses will be displayed. If Filter server status is selected in Select Status, a list of server statuses will be displayed.

    Status List:

    Specifies one or more filtering conditions. Multiple conditions can be selected.

  5. Setting the server to be monitored

    When you click the Select Host button, the Select Host window appears. Specify the server to be monitored.

    Host Name:

    Displays the list of servers to be monitored in the subsystem units.

    Subsystem number:

    Displays the subsystems under the server to be monitored.

    Clicking a title sorts by number.
