4.2.1 Registering Projects

When scheduling jobs, first register its project. The following describes how to register projects.

Projects can only be registered by Project system administrators (i.e. Users who are members of the Windows Administrators Group, or who are a superuser in the UNIX system). If the Extended User Management function is valid in the UNIX system, only the Operation Manager user having the administrative authority can perform it.

Note

User Notes on Project

In order for a user to access project information, a member of the Administrators Group [Windows version], a system administrator (superuser) [UNIX version] or an Operation Manager user with the administrator privilege [UNIX version] must grant user access rights to project information in the Set Permissions window.

Refer to "4.2.2 Setting up Access Permissions for Projects" for details on how to specify access rights.

Procedure

  1. To display the New Project window

Select Jobscheduler from the Job Selection window in the Systemwalker Operation Manager window. Then, select Project in New of the File menu (or right click and select Project in New from the pop-up menu). The New Project window appears.

  2. To specify Project information

Specify the Project name and owner in the New Project window, and then click OK.
