Action
Points to check
Was another application running on the client during the shutdown?
Cause
Another application was running on the client during the shutdown, therefore the shutdown processing may have been canceled.
If another application is running during the shutdown, a confirmation message is displayed prompting whether to close it immediately, or check the program status. If no action is taken for this message, the shutdown processing is canceled by the operating system.
Action method
Close applications that are running, and then perform the shutdown.
To forcefully shut down the client, specify /ef in the parameter of the poffcli command. However, if /ef is specified in the parameter, the data of running applications will not be saved.
Information
The poffcli command ends normally when the shutdown request to the operating system is complete. For this reason, even if the poffcli command ends normally, the client may not actually be shut down.
