Cause

If a network job that shuts down or reboots another server is started, then after the job has ended, the following processing that precedes obtaining the job execution results may result in an error, causing the job to end abnormally.

The reason why the above processing results in an error is that the processing is performed while the execution server is midway through shutting down or while the system is beginning to start. This problem occurs as a result of the shutdown or reboot processing being performed normally, and does not indicate a problem with the behavior of Systemwalker Operation Manager.

Action method

For network jobs that shut down or reboot other servers, consider ignoring the completion code by selecting Ignore completion code in the Standard information tab of the Add/Change - Job window.

Information

Network jobs in Systemwalker Operation Manager are completed by performing the processing to obtain the job execution results (obtaining the completion code and the standard output file). For this reason, completion of a network job that shuts down or reboots another server only indicates the fact that the command was issued correctly (it does not guarantee the actual shutdown or reboot of the target server). After that, it will be necessary to use another method to confirm whether the shutdown or reboot was actually performed normally.
