2.1.9 A 00103 Error Message is Output and Installation Cannot be Completed

00103:
The path set by installing this product may be ineffective because too many paths are already set in the environment variable (PATH) of this system.

Please delete unnecessary paths to add the path.

• Solaris versions: V13.3.1 or later (PC client only)

• Linux versions: V13.3.1 or later (PC client only)

Are you using Windows(R) 7 as your operating system?

Cause

The Systemwalker Operation Manager installer obtains the operating system type. This error occurs due to "Windows Vista" being returned in some cases even when "Windows 7" is used as the Windows operating system, and the upper limit of the environment variable (PATH) length cannot be correctly determined.

Action method

Perform the following procedure to install this product:

1. Insert the product media of Systemwalker Operation Manager into the drive device.

2. In Windows Explorer, right-click the product media swsetup.exe and select Properties.

3. In property of swsetup.exe, select the Compatibility tab, then click Change the settings for all users, and remove the compatibility mode in the compatibility for all users tab.

4. Execute swsetup.exe to install.
