Chapter 1 Troubleshooting Flow

Before performing the procedures described in this document to address problems that occurred in Systemwalker Operation Manager V10.0L20/10.1 or later, it is recommended to collect the necessary maintenance information for investigating the cause immediately after the problem has occurred. This will make it possible to investigate and find the cause the problem.

Follow the steps below when a problem has occurred:

  1. If you think a problem may have occurred, start by collecting maintenance information. Refer to "Appendix A Maintenance Information Collection Tool" for information on how to collect maintenance information.

    • [Windows versions]

      Select Start or Apps, then click Systemwalker Operation Manager and select Collect Maintenance Information (In V10.0L20/V10.0L21, click Systemwalker_OperationMGR and select Collect Maintenance Tool) to display the Collect Maintenance Tool dialog box for collecting maintenance information.

    • [UNIX versions]

      Execute the following command (refer to the Systemwalker Operation Manager Reference Guide for details):

      /opt/FJSVftlo/swcolinf/swcolinf [-i <name>] -o <output path> [-c <comment>]
  2. Perform the appropriate checks and actions described in this document for each symptom that has occurred.

  3. If you have been able to resolve the problem, you can continue the operation.

  4. If you cannot resolve the problem, send the maintenance information collected in step 1 to Fujitsu technical support, and ask them to conduct an investigation.

Note

If the installation fails

If the installation fails, Maintenance Information will be collected automatically to the following directory, ask them to conduct an investigation.
