B.1.4 Installing Systemwalker Software Configuration Manager on a Server where a Systemwalker Centric Manager Section Management Server or Business Server is Installed

Follow the steps below to install Systemwalker Software Configuration Manager.

1. Stop all Systemwalker Centric Manager function:

   [Windows]

   <Systemwalker Centric Manager installation directory>\MPWALKER.DM\bin\pcentricmgr

   [Linux]

   /opt/systemwalker/bin/pcentricmgr

2. Install Systemwalker Software Configuration Manager.

   Refer to "2.2 Installing on the Admin Server" for details.

   It is not necessary to restart the operating system immediately after installing Systemwalker Software Configuration Manager. The operating system will be restarted in a later step.

3. Enable automatic startup for the services.

   [Windows]

   Using the Windows(R) Services function, change Startup Type for the following services from Manual to Automatic.

   • Systemwalker MpAosfB

   • Systemwalker MpAosfP

   • Systemwalker MpAosfX

4. Restart the operating system.

5. Set up Systemwalker Software Configuration Manager.

   Refer to "3.1 Setting up the Admin Server" for details.
