3.1.4 Post-setup Tasks

This section explains the tasks required after setup for the admin server.

3.1.4.1 Starting the Products

3.1.4.1.1 Starting ServerView Resource Orchestrator (If Linking to ServerView Resource Orchestrator)

Start ServerView Resource Orchestrator if linking to it to operate the admin server:

[Windows]

<ServerView Resource Orchestrator installation directory>\SVROR\Manager\bin\rcxmgrctl start

[Linux]

/opt/FJSVrcvmr/bin/rcxmgrctl start

3.1.4.1.2 Starting Systemwalker Runbook Automation

Note

Do not use this procedure if linking to ServerView Resource Orchestrator to operate Systemwalker Software Configuration Manager.

Start Systemwalker Runbook Automation.

[Windows]

%SWRBA_HOME%\bin\swrba_start

[Linux]

/opt/FJSVswrbam/bin/swrba_start

3.1.4.1.3 Starting Systemwalker Software Configuration Manager

Start Systemwalker Software Configuration Manager:

[Windows]

<Systemwalker Software Configuration Manager installation directory>\SWCFMGM\bin\swcfmg_start

[Linux]

/opt/FJSVcfmgm/bin/swcfmg_start

3.1.4.2 Registering Middleware Information

Register the following middleware definitions, which will be used for software parameter management by Systemwalker Software Configuration Manager:

• Definition of software information

• Definition of parameters to be set

• Definition of parameters to be collected

Execute the following command.

[Windows]

<Systemwalker Software Configuration Manager installation directory>\SWCFMGM\bin\swcfmg_setup_mwinfo.bat

[Linux]

/opt/FJSVcfmgm/bin/swcfmg_setup_mwinfo

Note

If the operating system being used is Windows Server 2008 or later, execute the command above as an administrator.
