This section explains the Backup Wizard for SQL Server and the Restore Wizard for SQL Server operating environments.
The hardware requirements for utilization of the Backup Wizard for SQL Server and the Restore Wizard for SQL Server will be explained below.
Refer to "Hardware Requirements" in "Operating Environment of ETERNUS SF Manager" in the ETERNUS SF Installation and Setup Guide for information on the required Management Server hardware.
The required Managed Server (Database server) hardware must satisfy all of the following conditions:

The following memory requirements of the SQL Server must be satisfied.
1GB or more (4GB or more recommended)
In addition, refer to the "system requirements" of the documentation of the SQL Server.
The required Managed Server (Backup Server) hardware must satisfy all of the following conditions:

Operating System
Refer to "Supported Operating Systems" in "Operating Environment of ETERNUS SF Manager" in the ETERNUS SF Installation and Setup Guide for information on the required Management Server software.
The required Managed Server (Database Server and Backup Server) software is as follows:
Windows Server 2008 (x86) (*)

Windows Server 2012
Windows Server 2012 R2
*: In the case of database servers, SP2 or later is required.
Note
Install SQL Server 2008 R2 or SQL Server 2012 in the database server.
SQL Server 2012 is supported with Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 or later.
SQL Server 2008 R2 is supported with Windows Server 2008 SP2 or later.
Point
When the database of the SAP environment (note) is Server 2008 R2 or SQL Server 2012, it is possible to perform backup / restoration of the SQL Server database by using the Backup Wizard for SQL Server or the Restore Wizard for SQL Server.
Note: The supported object is SAP NetWeaver 7.4 (technical platform of the SAP Business Suite).
