C.2.2 Perform the Installation

  1. Insert product CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive of your computer.
    If the installation window appears because of the autorun, please close the autorun.

  2. Start Command Prompt.

    Note

    For execution under Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Server 2008, or Windows Server 2012

    To create a response file and to perform silent installation, the setup commands should be executed under the administrator privilege. To do so, launch the command prompt window by the following steps:

    1. Select [All Programs] > [Accessories](*) > [Command Prompt] in the Start menu, and click the right button of the mouse.

    2. Click [Run as administrator] in the context menu.

    3. If the User Account Control dialog box is displayed, click [Continue] in it.

  3. Execute the following command.

    (CD-ROM drive)\INST\Disk1\issilentinstall.exe -s <installation parameter CSV file> -l <log file>

    Note

    • Specify the path for the installation parameter CSV file and the log file. If the path contains blank spaces, enclose it in double quotes (").

    • For the log files folder, specify an existing folder for which the user has write permission. Additionally, files with the same name as the specified log will be overwritten.

    • If an environment variable used in this product cannot be set because the length of the variable exceeded its maximum allowable length, a warning message will be displayed before the installation finishes. In this case, wait for the installation to finish, set the variable to the value below, and restart the computer:

      • PATH: <product installation folder>\IDE\1101\path.txt

      • CLASSPATH: <product installation folder>\IDE\1101\classpath.txt

    • If the mode for the Terminal Services was changed to install mode before installation, change it to execute mode after installation ends.

      Method for changing to execute mode:

      CHANGE USER /EXECUTE
