Chapter 12 Adding and Changing Products in Use

This chapter explains how to add and change products in use.
Refer to the ETERNUS SF Migration Guide for information on upgrading from a previous product version.

The required procedures for the addition and change of products in use are as follows:


Addition and change of using products when ETERNUS SF Manager is installed

When ETERNUS SF Manager is installed, you can add and change the using products without uninstalling ETERNUS SF Manager.

The procedure for addition and change of products in use is as below.

Addition and change of products when ETERNUS SF Manager CCM is installed as a standalone program

When AdvancedCopy Manager CCM is installed as a standalone program, AdvancedCopy Manager CCM uninstallation and ETERNUS SF Manager installation are required for the addition and change of products in use.

The required procedures for the addition and change of products in use are as follows.

  1. Delete the AdvancedCopy Manager license.

  2. Uninstall AdvancedCopy Manager CCM.

  3. Install ETERNUS SF Manager.

  4. Set up ETERNUS SF Manager as a manager for the product in use.

    Point

    • When two products are used in one Management Server, ETERNUS SF Manager must be set up as a manager for each product.

    • Register the license during setting up.

  5. When a product in use is Storage Cruiser or AdvancedCopy Manager, install and set up the agent for each product if needed.
