B.3.1 Registration of license

This subsection explains how to register licenses in a disk storage system.

Using the Web Console

Refer to "Register the license" in the ETERNUS SF Web Console Guide for information on the procedure.

Using the line command

The following procedure is required to register a license:

1. Confirm the license ID of the license to register with the esflm listid command.

   > esflm listid

2. Execute the following command:

   • If the server on which the command is executed can access the target ETERNUS Disk storage system:

     > esflm add licenseID licenseKey -i ipAddress -u userName -p password

   • If the server on which the command is executed cannot access the target ETERNUS Disk storage system:

     > esflm add licenseID licenseKey -s serialNumber
