This section explains the Backup Wizard for Exchange Server operating environments.
Refer to "Hardware requirements" in "Operating environment of ETERNUS SF Manager" in the ETERNUS SF Installation and Setup Guide for information on the required Management Server hardware.
The required backup server hardware must satisfy all of the following conditions:

The operating systems shown in "Backup Server" are running.
The required Mailbox Server hardware must satisfy both of the following conditions:
"Hardware requirements" in "Operating environment of AdvancedCopy Manager's agent" in the ETERNUS SF Installation and Setup Guide
The operating systems shown in "Mailbox Server" are running.
Note
The supported devices are those supported by AdvancedCopy Manager and ETERNUS VSS Hardware Provider. For more information on supported devices, see below:

Operating System
Refer to "Supported operating systems" in "Operating environment of ETERNUS SF Manager" in the ETERNUS SF Installation and Setup Guide for information on the required Management Server software.
The required backup server software is as follows:
Windows Server 2008 R2
Windows Server 2008 SP2 (x64)
Note
The Exchange management tools needs to be installed in the Backup Server. Its version must be the same as Exchange Server that will be installed in the Mailbox Server.
The required Mailbox Server software is as follows:
Windows Server 2008 R2
Windows Server 2008 SP2 (x64)
Note
The following software is required for Mailbox Server DAG configurations:
Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise
Windows Server 2008 Enterprise SP2 (x64)
Exchange Server 2010 SP2 or Exchange Server 2013 needs to be installed in the Mailbox Server.
Note
When running the Mailbox Server and the Backup Server on the guest OS in a virtual environment, it is required to use VMware and install VMware Tools, as well.
