2.5.3 Installing on Linux/Solaris Systems

This section describes how to install Systemwalker Runbook Automation on Linux/Solaris systems.

2.5.3.1 Installing Systemwalker Runbook Automation

This section describes how to install Systemwalker Runbook Automation on Business Servers.

1. Log in as a superuser on the system.

2. Insert the "Systemwalker Runbook Automation Media Pack (15.1.2) Disc No. 2/2" DVD-ROM in the drive.

3. Mount DVD-Rom by following command

   If you start by automatic mount daemon(autofs), installer will be failed because of having "noexec" option.

   [Linux]

   # mount -t iso9660 -r /dev/mnt DVD-ROM mount point

   [Solaris]

   # mount -F udfs  -r DVD-ROM device DVD-ROM mount point

4. Start the installer:

   This command installs multiple packages as a batch.

   [Linux]

   # <DVD-ROM mount point>/swsetup

   [Solaris]

   # /bin/sh DVD-ROM mount point/swsetup

5. After the welcome text, press Enter key.

6. At the prompt for the server installation directory server, enter "Business Server".

   Select the 32-bit or the 64-bit version, depending on the CPU architecture of installation destination server.

7. At the prompt for Business Server installation confirmation, press "y".

8. For Solaris, select install destination.

9. Check the installation settings.

   Ensure that the settings are correct, and then enter "y". If a setting must be corrected, then enter its number.

   Setup files deployment destination(This cannot be changed): /etc/opt
   Work files deployment destination(This cannot be changed): /var/opt
   
   Is it OK to install by this settings?

   [Solaris]

   2.Setup files deployment destination: /etc/opt
   3.Work files deployment destination: /var/opt

10. Installation will start.
