1.4.1 Automated Operation Processes

This section explains Automated Operation Processes required to automate operations using Systemwalker Runbook Automation.

What is an Automated Operation Process?

An Automated Operation Process consists of Process Definitions (which define tasks performed by people and operations performed on ICT devices as a sequence of task procedures) and forms (for performing the data entry and confirmation tasks associated with the Process Definitions, and which are displayed in a Web Console).

What is an Automated Operation Process Group?

Automated Operation Process Groups are units of management for Automated Operation Processes on the Management Server. Each Automated Operation Process must belong to one Automated Operation Process Group.

With Systemwalker Runbook Automation, Automated Operation Process Groups are the basic units for managing operations, and when Automated Operation Processes are registered on the Management Server or displayed in the Web Console, operations are performed on individual Automated Operation Process Groups rather than on individual Automated Operation Processes.
