If the Management Server (where a Systemwalker Runbook Automation Manager runs) is configured as a cluster system, the Systemwalker Runbook Automation Manager can be operated as a high-reliability system with active and standby nodes. For Management Servers that manage ICT systems where important business applications are running, it is recommended that a cluster system be used to increase reliability in case a problem such as a hardware fault occurs.
If a cluster configuration is used for the Management Server, when a hardware fault occurs on the server where the Management Server is running, the other server in the cluster inherits the Management information so that business applications can continue running with minimum stoppage time.
If the servers where Systemwalker Runbook Automation Agents are running (Business Servers, Linked Servers and Relay Servers) have cluster configurations, the Systemwalker Runbook Automation Agents themselves do not have cluster configurations with active and standby nodes.
