2.2.5 Required resources for operation (for Solaris)

2.2.5.1 Required disk space for operation

For operating ETERNUS SF Manager, in addition to disk space described in "2.2.3.1 Required disk space for installation", the server on which it is installed must have free disk space as described below.

Disk space required for the license management function.


Repository for Storage Cruiser

Add disk space as described below, depending on the numbers of storage devices, server nodes and switches to be managed.

Required size (MB) = 1 + Number_of_devices_to_be_managed * 4

Additionally, for performing the performance management, disk space is necessary depending on the number of devices from which to collect performance data and the number of days for which performance data are to be stored.

For details, refer to "Appendix C Required Disk Space for Performance Management".

  • Number_of_servers : The number of Managed Servers

  • Number_of_switches : The number of managed switches

  • Number_of_devices_to_be_managed : The number of managed ETERNUS Disk storage systems

  • Number_of_disks : The total number of disks in each managed ETERNUS Disk storage system

  • Number_of_RAID_groups : The number of managed RAID groups

  • Number_of_volumes : The number of managed volumes

  • Number_of_users : The number of users using Web Console (The number of user accounts)

2.2.5.2 Required memory for operation

For operating ETERNUS SF Manager, the server on which it is installed must add the following amount of memory.
