This configuration is suitable for duplicating network adapters by installing GLS into a guest OS with Hyper-V.
Configuration
Figure B.8 Configuration with GLS Installed Guest OSes
Setting procedure
The setting procedure is the same as that of a physical server.
For details, see "A.1.1 Configuration with a Single Virtual Adapter" or "A.1.2 Configuration with Two Virtual Adapters."
Note
For Windows Server 2008 R2, check [Enable spoofing of MAC addresses] when creating a network adapter bundled by GLS with Hyper-V Manager.
Since the link status of a physical adapter on the host OS is not sent to a guest OS with Hyper-V, the link status cannot be monitored. Therefore, you must set ping monitoring for each guest OS.
Information
For tagged VLAN connection, specify the VLAN ID in the setting of a network adapter for a guest OS. You do not need to set VLAN ID for the GLS virtual adapter.
