2.11 Automatic Distribution File during CT Registration

Usage

This file will be used when registering the following client (CT), and the Management Server distributes clients (CTs) to the CT group automatically.

• When the client (CT) is communicating with the Management Server after installation

• When executing the maintenance command (FSW11EJ7.EXE /R)

When this file is saved in Saving location, distribute the client (CT) according to settings contents. Therefore, when the operation to distribute to CT group is finished, please delete this file, or move the file to location other than saving location.

File format

The item name and a description of the input file are described as follows:

• The file is in the format of CSV.

• When the beginning character is "#", it will be determined as comment line.

• The string item will be quoted by " (double quote). The numeral item will not be quoted by " (double quote).

• , (comma) will be used to separate one item from another.

  1	Full Path of CT Group (Required)	This will be recorded as a full path starting from root directory of CT group. “\” is used to separate a group from another. When “\” is used as one part of group name, ’ (single quote) shall be added after “\”. When ’ (single quote) is used as one part of group name, it will be recorded as double ’ (single quote). [Example] When CT group of "Sales Department" exists in root directory it will be recorded as "Root \Sales Department" . When CT group of "Third Section" exists in sales department it will be recorded as "Root \Sales Department\Third Section" . When CT group of "A\" exists in root directory it will be recorded as "Root \A'\" . When CT group of " \B'" exists in CT group of " A\" it will be recorded as "Root \A'\\'\B''" .
  2	Item Used in Matching Condition (Required)	Specify which item in the client (CT) information as distribution condition. COMPUTERNAME: computer name IPADDRESS:IP address ORGANIZATION: organization name COMPUTEROWNER: owner name DTPEMPLOYEENO:DTP identification information・employee ID
  3	Value of Matching Condition (Required)	Set the value of [Item Used in Matching Condition]. When specifying the wildcard character (*), it will be considered as any string. For the limit of limit value in this item, make the following description: When specifying " COMPUTERNAME" in [Item Used in Matching Condition] The computer name (15 characters) of NetBIOS can be specified only. When specifying the computer name longer than this length, the name will be considered a conflict. When specifying " IPADDRESS" in [Item Used in Matching Condition] When specifying a value greater than 15 bytes, it will be considered conflict. In addition, when 0 is used to postscript the value, it will also be considered a conflict. When specifying " ORGANIZATION" in [Item Used in Matching Condition] When specifying a value greater than 105 bytes, it will also be considered a conflict. When specifying " COMPUTEROWNER" in [Item Used in Matching Condition] When specifying a value greater than 93 bytes, it will also be considered a conflict. When specifying " DTPEMPLOYEENO" in [Item Used in Matching Condition] When specifying a value greater than 20 bytes, it will also be considered a conflict.

• The blank line will be ignored.

• Several conditions (one condition for one line and specify several lines) can be set for one CT group. At this moment, the client (CT) will be distributed to the CT group whose condition best matches.

• When there are several CT groups with set same condition, the client (CT) will be distributed to the CT group whose condition best matches.

• When the client (CT) cannot be distributed to a CT group for the following causes, it will be distributed to the root directory. Please ask the administrator to distribute the client (CT) to the CT group manually.

  • Automatic Distribution File during CT Registration does not exist in the specified folder.

  • Automatic Distribution File during CT Registration is incorrect.

  • The client (CT) with registration request exists, but there is no condition matching Automatic Distribution File during CT Registration.

  • There is a matching condition to Automatic Distribution File during CT Registration, but the distribution target CT group does not exist.

  • CT groups of other Management Server are recorded in Automatic Distribution File during CT Registration.
