This section describes how to set the operation conditions of the entire system for collecting PC information.
There are following types of operation condition of the entire system.
Settings of software dictionary
Settings of user information item label
To collect software information in Systemwalker Desktop Patrol, it is required to define the search condition for judging the software. In Systemwalker Desktop Patrol, this definition is called “Software Dictionary”.
For settings of software dictionary, please refer to “2.2 Set Auditing Software”
In Systemwalker Desktop Patrol, any information input by user on CT can be managed as PC information. This information is called information.
Item name of user information can only be set/modified on CS.
Maximum 10 items can be set for user information, which can be used as information management required during inventory making, such as property number, manufacture number, operation remarks .etc.
The following describes how to set user information items.
Procedure
The operation procedure is as follows.
Log in to the Main Menu, click [Environment Setup].
→The [Environment Setup] window will be displayed.
Click [Option].
→The following window will be displayed.
Enter [Item Name] of [User Information].

[Item Name] | Specify the item name of user information with Japanese or alphanumeric characters. Maximum 64 characters can be specified. The following symbols can be specified. “-”“@”“.”“(”“)”“[”“]”“{”“}”“<”“>”“:”“;” It is unable to specify with only the space. In addition, the duplicated item name cannot be specified. The following 10 item names are specified by default. Item name can be modified freely. "Property ID","Serial Number","Operation Status","Use","Building","Manufacturer","Purchase Order Number","Order Date","Equipment ID","Remarks" |
The item of user information that has been set is displayed in CT as follows.
The line without entered item will not be allowed to enter content in CT.
Consideration
When modifying the item label under the status that PC information has been collected from CT, the value that has been set in the user information of CT environment setup window will be deleted.
Therefore, please set the item of user information during system construction.
In this example, since the item label has been modified from "Usage Purpose" to "Setting Location", "Factory Terminal" with content being set will be deleted.
