C.2.2 Linkdown between Switch and Adapter

Problem

A physical adapter linkdown message (Category: WARNING, Event ID: 2002) appears in the event log. Alternatively, the results of executing the dsphanet command show "FAIL" in the Adapters field.

Cause

There may be a defect in the NIC, network cable, or network switch.

Action

Check the NIC, network cable, and network switch for defects. If necessary, replace the defective item.
For important information on replacing an NIC or network switch, refer to "5.5 Responding to Problems."

Note that when the GLS monitor function detects a failure in a transmission path, the switch function automatically switches the operational adapter and continues communication
