This section describes how to set, start, and stop the ping monitor function, as well as how to change existing settings.
Note
You do not have to use the ping monitor function in order to use GLS, but if you do not, you will not be able to detect communication errors in network devices. It is recommended to use the ping monitor function in order to improve the reliability of the network.
Note that the ping monitor function can only monitor network devices to which an IP address has been assigned.
Use the hanetpoll command to make ping monitor settings. For more details, refer to "6.2.4 hanetpoll."
