Using a physical adapter, a GLS virtual adapter can carry out the following IPv6 communication types:
Unicast
Multicast
Note
To use ping monitoring, you must not only assign IPv6 addresses, but also IPv4 addresses.
In Windows Server 2003 R2, IPv6 communication is not available when you use GLS' VLAN tagging with bundled physical adapters that are capable of VLAN tagging. To enable IPv6 communication using VLAN tagging, please bundle the VLAN tagging adapters of the physical adapters.
In Windows Server 2008 or later operating systems, if you apply GLS' VLAN tagging for a virtual adapter that is bundling adapters (such as link aggregation of Intel PROSet) other than physical adapters, communication runs via unicast only, using static IP addresses.
