Replication Error Recovery allows the user to recover replication management files after errors (i.e. errors typically caused by a system failure whilst replication is being performed).
Select the relevant Replication Group from the Site view and right-click to invoke the context menu.
On the context menu, click [Replication Error Recovery] to invoke the [Replication Error Recovery] dialog box.
Replication Error Recovery
Label | Description |
---|---|
Recreate replication management files using files from the Storage Management Server | Select this option when the swsrpsetvol (Replication volume information setting command) or the swsrpdelvol (Replication volume information deletion command) that updates the replication management files has ended unexpectedly because of a forced ending or a system failure, or when an error status has been generated for the replication management files (eg, because of an incorrect deletion of the replication management files). When the option is specified, the following replication management files will be recreated: Replication management information stored in the Storage Management Server repository will be downloaded and the replication volume information will be restored. By enquiring on the disk array unit to retrieve the execution information, the execution information of the synchronous processing will be restored. |
Perform any unfinished post-processing | Any unfinished post-processing is performed. |
Set options, and then click [OK] to perform Replication Error Recovery for the selected servers.
