This chapter explains detail messages displayed on parameter of esfmgr30011, "Messages beginning with STXS", "Messages beginning with ssmgr", and "Messages beginning with swsag".

When messages other than explaining by the following are displayed, see "6.3.2 Trouble analysis", collect that message and troubleshooting information, and contact a Fujitsu SE.

  • When executing other functions

    More than one parameter has been specified. However, only specification of one parameter is possible.

STXS4000 ERROR The device is under maintenance. [status: "{0}"]

Description

The command cannot be executed since the ETERNUS Disk storage system is undergoing maintenance work.

Or, there is a possibility that abnormality occurred in the ETERNUS Disk storage system after executing the function.

Description

The ETERNUS Disk storage system is not supported.

Or, command access to the support device failed.

Not supported, this ETERNUS Disk storage system cannot be used. Use ETERNUS Web GUI to perform maintenance work for the ETERNUS Disk storage system.

"Device type" may not be output.

STXS4015 ERROR The device has been locked. [ipaddress="{0}"]

Description

The ETERNUS Disk storage system is being used by another user.

Parameters

Interrupts the processing.

Administrator response

If another user is using the ETERNUS Disk storage system, execute the command after the user finishes using the ETERNUS Disk storage system.

If the ETERNUS Disk storage system remains in use due to command abnormal end, cancel the maintenance state of the ETERNUS Disk storage system.

STXS4017 ERROR Firmware does not support this operation. [IP address="{0}"]

Description

The function cannot be used since the firmware version does not support it.

STXS4018 ERROR The specified RAID group has not been registered. [RAID group number="{0}"]

Description

The specified RAID group has not been created in the ETERNUS Disk storage system.

STXS4028 ERROR The specified RAID group number is already being used for a temporary RAID group. [RAID group number="{0}"]

Description

The specified RAID group cannot be operated since it is a working RAID group.

STXS4030 ERROR The specified RAID group is a Mainframe RAID group. [RAID group number="{0}"]

Description

The specified RAID group cannot be operated since mainframe volume or MVV volume is created in the RAID group.

Description

The disk that is not data disk has been specified.

STXS4034 ERROR A different type of disk drive exists when creating a RAID.

Description

Mixed types of disks have been specified.

STXS4035 ERROR The number of specified disk drives ("{0}") for "{1}" is invalid.

Description

The specified number of disks exceeds the number of disks allowed in each RAID Level.

Description

Installation locations of the specified disks cause invalid RAID Level combination (invalid FC-Loop).

The specified disk combination in RAID5 is not configured with disks belonging to the same BRT pair.

Description

While adding LUN Mapping, this message may be output if an alias name is not specified.

Check the LUN mapping of the specified affinity group or port, and try again.

STXS4049 ERROR The affinity group in which host affinity is set has been specified. [affinity group number="{0}"]

Description

An affinity group number associated with host affinity has been specified.

Delete the affinity group number after canceling host affinity set in the affinity group.

The total size of the specified volumes exceeds free space in the RAID group.

Description

STXS4099 ERROR The specified RAID group has been blocked. [RAID group number="{0}"]

Description

The specified RAID group has been blocked.
