Appendix D : Collecting Information for Investigation |
The Error-log information on XL-DATA/MV is automatically extracted, when an error occurs in the following offer functions:
However, when the error which needs investigation occurred, error log information is extracted.
The Error-log information is stored to the two Error-log output files on the following directory.
Solaris Server | /var/opt/FJSVmftf/data |
HP-UX Server | /var/opt/FHPmftf/data |
Linux Server | /var/opt/FJSVmftf/data |
The file name of the two Error-log output files is as follows.
For V13.0 | mftferrlog02401,mftferrlog02402 |
For V13.1 | mftferrlog13011,mftferrlog13012 |
For V13.2 | mftferrlog13021,mftferrlog13022 |
The Error-log information is stored in the two Error-log output files using the following cyclic operations:
The transfer command and daemon/service both use the same Error-log output file in a local system.
The size of one Error-log output file is 1MB.
The amount of Error-log information storable in a single Error-log output file is about 680 pieces.
Since the two Error-log output files are operated cyclically, about 1360 pieces of Error-log information can be stored.
Free Space for Storage Directory
The directory for storing the Error-log output files must have 2MB or more.
If there is insufficient free space, an insufficient area error message is output. Also, all Error-log information cannot be stored.
This storage directory is used also when extracting the trace file. Refer to "The Trace Information" for details on the trace information.
