Make sure there is sufficient disk space to install this software program.
For information on how much disk space this software requires,
refer to the section "Resources" in the "Software Description" of the product's CD-ROM (readme.txt).
If there is insufficient disk space, reconfigure the disk partition.
Become the super-user of the system.
# su <RETURN> |
Place the CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive, then execute the following command.
# mount /dev/cdrom /media/cdrom -r <RETURN> |
Execute the install.sh file in the CD-ROM.
# cd /mnt/cdrom <RETURN> # ./install.sh <RETURN> |
A message box asking whether or not you wish to change the installation directory of the package is displayed as follows:
To change the directory, specify the directory name starting with "/" and press the <RETURN> key. To leave it, just press the <RETURN> key.
To view the Help, specify h or help and press the <RETURN> key.
To cancel the installation, specify q or quit and press the <RETURN> key.
(The default "/opt" is recommended.)

Next, a message box asking whether or not you wish to change the temporary directory is displayed as follows:
To change the directory, specify the directory name starting with "/" and press the <RETURN> key. To leave it, just press the <RETURN> key.
To view the Help, specify h or help and press the <RETURN> key.
To cancel the installation, specify q or quit and press the <RETURN> key.
(The default "/var/opt" is recommended.)

Next, a message box asking whether or not you wish to change the directory for storing the configuration file is displayed as follows:
To change the directory, specify the directory name starting with "/" and press the <RETURN> key. To leave it, just press the <RETURN> key.
To view the Help, specify h or help and press the <RETURN> key.
To cancel the installation, specify q or quit and press the <RETURN> key.
(The default "/etc/opt" is recommended.)

After the installation is complete, execute the rpm command to check to see if the installation was successful.
Check to see whether the displayed install information is correct. If an error message is displayed, the installation was unsuccessful; therefore, perform the uninstall procedures described later in this section to delete the package, then reinstall it.
# rpm -qi XLDatamover_FJSVmftf <RETURN> |
Package installation can also be confirmed by Package Manager.
Confirm there is the packege just under the Applications of Package Manager.
The list of files installed is displayed on Package Manager.
Though the following files and directories are displayed as "X" in the list, nothing is wrong with them.
And the following files are displayed to rpm command (rpm -V XLDatamover_FJSVmftf) as "missing", but nothing is wrong with them.
/opt/FJSVmftf/etc /opt/FJSVmftf/var |
Refer to "UNIX/IA Server Environment Settings" and specify the necessary settings.
