2.4.1 /etc/fstab.pcl setup

Define mounting of the NAS volume in /etc/fstab.pcl as follows:

#RMS# NAS host name: NAS volume name - mount oint nfs - no option

• For standby operation, the following option is recommended:

  rw,hard,bg,nointr,rsize=32768,wsize=32768,tcp,nfsvers=3

• For scalable operation, the following option is recommended:

  rw,hard,bg,nointr,rsize=32768,wsize=32768,tcp,noac,nfsvers=3

#RMS#netapp:/vol/vol1 - /NAS nfs - no rw,bg,hard,nointr,proto=tcp,forcedirectio,noac,vers=3

• Specify the same NAS host name as that registered in DNS or /etc//hosts. With an IP address, the file lock might not be properly controlled at times.
• Do not create a directory for a mount point. With a directory, the mount control cannot be normally performed on PRIMECLUSTER.
