2.5.2 [Resource Details] tab

The [Resource Details] tab displays detailed information on registered resources.
This information is displayed by double-clicking any of the following resources in the resource tree:

• Chassis

• Server

• Physical OS

• VM host

• VM guest

• LAN switch

• PDU or UPS

Selecting a blade server displays the following chassis image in the [Resource Details] tab. This image shows the slot positions of all server blades installed in the chassis.

The resource images shown in the above chassis image are explained in the table below.

Table 2.18 Meaning of the resources shown in the chassis image

A.	Registered server blade.
B.	Detected storage blade.
C.	Currently displayed server blade.
D.	Server blade selected within the chassis image.
E.	Server blade that has not been registered yet.
F.	Empty slot.

Attributes of Displayed Resources

The [Resource Details] tab displays different attributes for each resource, as described below.

• Chassis Attributes

  Table 2.19 General Area

  Item	Content displayed
  Chassis name	Name used to identify a chassis.
  Model name	Chassis model name.
  Admin LAN (IP address)	Chassis management IP address.
  Status	Chassis status.
  Server blades (*1)	Number of server blades mounted in the chassis.
  Partition count (*2)	Number of partitions mounted.
  LAN Switch count (*1)	Number of LAN switches mounted in the chassis.

  *1: Displayed only when the chassis of a blade server is selected.
  *2: Displayed only when the chassis of a PRIMERGY Partition Model server is selected.

  Launch Management Blade Web UI	Link to the management blade's Web interface.

  The following information is only displayed when the chassis of a PRIMERGY Partition Model server is selected.

  Partition number	The number of a partition.
  Partition name	Name used to identify a partition.
  SB	The ID of the system board used to configure a partition.
  IOB	The ID of the IO board used to configure a partition.
  GSPB	The ID of the GSPB used to configure a partition.
  Reserved SB	The ID of the reserved SB assigned to a partition.

• Server Attributes

  Table 2.22 General Area

  Physical server name	Name used to identify a server.
  Model name	Server model name. (*1)
  Product name	Server product name. (*2)
  Status	Server status.
  Slot (*3)	A slot number representing the mounted location.
  Partition number (*4)	The number of a partition.
  Maintenance Mode (*5)	Operational status of a server (active or maintenance).
  LED status (*3)	Illumination status of the maintenance LED.
  Admin LAN (MAC address) (*5)	MAC address of the NIC used for the admin LAN.
  CPU type (*6)	Type of CPU.
  CPU clock speed (*6)	CPU clock speed (frequency).
  Memory capacity (*6)	Total capacity of server memory.
  HBAAR LAN (MAC address) (*5, *7)	MAC address used for the HBA address rename setup service.
  Maintenance Mode (*4)	Server status.

  *1: The model name displayed for powered-on, registered servers is obtained from ServerView Operations Manager. Otherwise, no model name is displayed.
  *2: For PRIMERGY BX servers, the product name obtained from the management blade is displayed. For other servers, the model name is displayed.
  *3: Displayed only for PRIMERGY BX servers.
  *4: Displayed only when a PRIMERGY Partition Model server is selected.
  *5: Displayed only for PRIMERGY BX servers.
  *6: This attribute is displayed as "-" for servers other than PRIMERGY BX servers or SPARC Enterprise servers.
  *7: Displayed only for servers other than PRIMERGY BX servers.

  Table 2.23 Hardware Details Area

  Server Management Software (*1)	Link to the web interface of external server management software.
  Remote Management Controller IP address (*2)	IP address of the remote management controller.
  I/O Virtualization Management Software (*3)	Link to the web interface of I/O Virtualization management software.
  VIOM server profile (*4)	The assigned VIOM server profile name is displayed.

  *1: Displayed only when PRIMERGY servers, PRIMERGY Partition Model servers, or SPARC Enterprise servers are selected.
  *2: Displayed only for servers other than PRIMERGY BX servers.
  *3: Displayed only if coordinated up with external I/O virtualization management software.
  *4: Displayed only if managed by VIOM and a server profile has been set.

  Table 2.24 Network Properties Area

  Physical Connections	List of physical connections between the server's network interfaces and LAN switches ports.

  When a column heading in the list is clicked, the color of the selected column will change and the resources can be sorted in either ascending or descending order.

  Table 2.25 Hardware Maintenance Area

  Item	Content displayed
  NIC Summary (*1)	Shows the IP addresses associated with each MAC address.

  *1: For servers other than PRIMERGY BX servers and PRIMERGY Partition Model servers, only admin LAN information is displayed.*4: For SPARC Enterprise servers, only the IP address is displayed.

  Information

  The IP address displayed is the one set within the server's operating system.
  For network interfaces that were made redundant using BACS software, the information set in BACS (within the operating system) is displayed.

  The following information is only displayed when PRIMERGY Partition Model servers are selected.

  Partition name	Name used to identify a partition.
  SB	The ID of the system board used to configure a partition.
  IOB	The ID of the IO board used to configure a partition.

• Physical OS, VM Host and VM Guest Attributes

  Server name	Name used to identify a physical OS, VM host, or VM guest.
  Admin LAN (IP address) (*1)	IP address on the admin LAN.
  Status	Status of the physical OS, VM host, or VM guest.
  Type	Type of the OS running on the server (physical OS, VM host, or VM guest).
  OS	Name of the operating system running on the server.
  Physical server name (*1)	Name of the server on which the physical OS, VM host, or VM guest is operating.

  *1: Not displayed for VM guests.

  Primary server	Name of the physical server that will be switched over during a server switchover.
  Active server	Name of the currently active physical server.
  Server switchover method	Method used to perform server switchover.
  Boot type	System disk boot type.
  Automatic server recovery	Flag indicating whether automatic server recovery is enabled or not.
  Network switchover	Flag indicating whether or not to switch over network settings during a server switchover.
  Spare server	Names of assigned spare servers.

  The following information is not displayed for VM guests.

  *1: Displays only "(IBP)" when connected to a PRIMERGY BX 900 switch blade in IBP mode.

  Table 2.35 Port Groups Area (IBP)

  Index	Mounted position (index) of each network interface on the server.
  Group (*1)	Names of the port groups set on the LAN switch ports connected to each network interface (for LAN switch blades operating in IBP mode).

  *1: Displays only "-" under the following conditions.

  • The corresponding LAN switch is not registered.

  • The corresponding LAN switch is not operating in IBP mode.

  • The corresponding LAN switch port has not been assigned to a port group.

• LAN Switch Attributes

  LAN switch name	Name used to identify a LAN switch.
  System Name (sysName)	System name set on the LAN switch.
  IP address	IP address on the admin LAN.
  Device name (Product name)	Device name of the LAN switch.
  Model name	Model name of the LAN switch.
  Vendor	LAN switch vendor. This is not displayed for LAN switch blades.
  Serial number	Serial number of the LAN switch.
  Firmware version	Firmware version of the LAN switch.
  Device status	Status of the LAN switch.
  Slot	Slot number (mounted position) of the LAN switch. This is only displayed for LAN switch blades.

  Table 2.40 VLAN Area

  Untagged Port (*1)	List of ports set with a port VLAN ID.

  The following attributes are only displayed for PRIMERGY BX900 LAN switch blades operating in IBP mode.

  Table 2.41 Port Groups Area

  Item	Content displayed
  Group	Name of a port group configured on the selected LAN switch blade.
  Type	Type of the displayed port group. This can be either one of the following values: "Port Group", "VLAN Port Group", "Service LAN" or "Service VLAN".
  VLAN ID	VLAN ID assigned to this port group.
  Downlink Ports	Name of the downlink ports assigned to this port group.
  Uplink Set	Name of the Uplink Set assigned to this port group.

  Table 2.42 Uplink Sets Area

  Uplink Set	Name of an Uplink Set (set of external ports) configured on the selected LAN switch blade.
  Active Port	Name of the active port within the port backup configuration of this Uplink Set.

  Link State	Displays whether link state functionality was enabled or not for this Uplink Set.

• Power monitoring devices (PDU or UPS) attributes
