7.4.2 Changing the storage system name

When changing a storage system name, take the following procedure.

1. Start the Storage System Management GUI.

2. If Advanced Copy function is used on the storage system whose name is to be changed, start the Copy Control Management GUI. Delete the storage system via the Copy Control Management GUI.

   Note

   You must not perform any operation such as deletion of a copy group or a copy pair with respect to copy groups and copy pairs.

3. Delete a storage system whose name is to be changed via the Storage System Management GUI.

4. Add the storage system whose name was changed via the Storage System Management GUI. For more information, refer to the section "5.4 Discovering Storage".

5. If you perform copy operation on the storage system, add the system name via the Copy Control Management GUI. For more information, refer to the section "6.4 Executing Advanced Copy".

   Point

   Refresh behavior is required for re-registered systems or copy groups.
