7.3.2 Changing the IP address

The following is the procedure to change the IP address for the server that is running Express Manager.

  1. Change the IP address for the server that is running Express Manager.

  2. Stop the services.

    Open Service Control Manager to stop the following 3 services.

    • ETERNUS SF Express Manager

    • ETERNUS SF Express Manager for CCM GUI Service

    • ETERNUS SF Storage Cruiser Manager

  3. If the management server has two network interfaces or more, change the IP address which used by communication between the management server and an Express client referring to "6.6 Express manager server with multiple IP Addresses".

  4. If the notification destination of SNMP Trap set for a storage system is specified by an IP address, change the IP address.

  5. Reboot the server.

  6. Start Express Manager to connect to the changed server IP address.

Point

When the server which is running Express Manager has its IP address changed, the device which specifies the IP address as a destination of SNMP Trap needs to change to that IP address.

  • For ETERNUS Disk storage system

    Change the destination of SNMP Trap setting by ETERNUS Web GUI.
    The destination of SNMP Trap is displayed in "Setup SNMP Agent (Trap) Screen".
    Delete the pre-change IP address and specify the post-change IP address and community name.
    Click the [Add New Destination] button, and the new destination is added.

  • For FibreCAT SX Disk storage system

    Change the destination of SNMP Trap setting by FibreCAT SX WBI.
    The destination of SNMP Trap is displayed in "SNMP configuration" page.
    Delete the pre-change IP address and specify the post-change IP address.
