Appendix C Notes |
[Explanation]
If the following conditions are all satisfied, an error may occur in the mirroring setup or operation. Additionally, under these circumstances, the mirror destination disk may become INVALID after synchronization copying or resynchronization copying is completed.
The ETERNUS multipath driver is not in use.
The ETERNUS disk array unit is connected or disconnected during system operation or ETERNUS is not recognized by the system due to its malfunction.
The system has not been shut down after 2.
If the conditions 1. to 3. are satisfied, the OS bootcfg command will not function normally, and thus, EFI boot entry addition and deletion will fail, which causes this error.
The above event is assumed to be the cause if:
The system log in the event log contains the error message 42008 or 42011 or the warning message 44002 or 44006 for the service (F6GASRV).
Executing the bootcfg command with no option setting in the command prompt returns "(null)" as a value for the "BootFilePath" to the current boot entry.
[Resolution]
Perform the following procedures for restoration.
Shut down the system.
Restore the failed component if an ETERNUS disk or cable is faulty.
Reboot the system.
Take action responding to the message (42008, 42011, 44002, or 44006) for the service (F6GASRV) output in the system log in the event log.
For the resolutions relevant to the service messages, see "Service Messages."
