Chapter 3 Operation |
If an error occurs in a system that uses PSDM and the cause of or resolution to the error is not found based on the error message, follow the procedures below to collect information for troubleshooting and submit it to your local customer support.
To collect information for troubleshooting, you must be a user with administrator privileges (a user of the Administrators group).
Opening the command prompt
Select [start]-[All Programs]-[Accessories]-[Command Prompt] to open Command Prompt.
Collecting information for troubleshooting
With the sdxsnap command, collect information for troubleshooting. The information will be saved in a file named sdxsnapradXXXXX.cab (where XXXXX is a variable string that PSDM automatically generates).
Example: Collect information required for troubleshooting and save it to the C:\snap directory
> sdxsnap -k -d C:\snap |
For details on the sdxsnap command, see "sdxsnap - Collection of information for troubleshooting."
If a problem occurs, collect information for troubleshooting as soon as possible because necessary information might be lost over time.
