1.6.1 Target for Management

Systemwalker Desktop Patrol can manage in-house assets such as hardware and software.

Management of Hardware

• Hardware Details

  All information related to hardware on that machine including CPU, memory, floppy/CD/DVD drives.

• Lease Contracts Information

  Enter the expiration date of every PC lease contract, enabling routine checks on expiring contracts.

Management of Software

• Software Information

  Enables check of installed software, security patches and virus pattern files on each PC. Violations for patches in accordance with the Software dictionary" provided, can be detected as part of the security audit. Also enables license management.

• Applications

  This is a complete the list of software as displayed in the "Add or Remove Programs" of each PC.

• Metering

  The start frequency of programs can be confirmed.

• Executable Files

  List all exe's that are on the PC.

• Registry Keys

  Lists information described in the registry of the operating system.

Management of log files

  Can acquire required log files output from the specified software on each PC.
