Chapter 3 Systemwalker Desktop Patrol Functions> 3.3 License Management Function

3.3.1 License Management

License Management on Systemwalker Desktop Patrol is performed by the administrator who manages PCs one by one by assigning licenses to individual PCs.

Three prerequisites to software license management are as follows:

The PC administrator manages the number of licenses by assigning software-by-software license used on each PC in "License Giving" in "Licenses Management" of the "Systemwalker Desktop Patrol Main Menu".

You can check the usage status of software assigned in "License Giving" in the "Systemwalker Desktop Patrol Main Menu"

You can notify the administrator of a breach by email or make a list of error logs in the event log, when you identify any PC using software with no license assigned during event setting.

By selecting "License Giving - Details" from the "License Management" window in the "Systemwalker Desktop Patrol Main Menu", the usage status of license is displayed as below.

PCs with Windows Server(R) 2003 x64 Edition are excluded from the License Management target.
