A.2.3 Character Code
Is it necessary to store XML documents with the same character code?
It is necessary to use the same character code in the XML documents.
The following character codes have to be in the same type.
- The character code of the XML documents stored in Shunsaku
- The character code specified at the CharacterCode parameter in the system environment file.
- The character code in the search expression, return expression, sort expression and the direct access key.
- The character code of the text expression or the attribute expression which are specified in the direct access key definition.
UTF-8 is recommended.
However, the XML encoding declaration is not used when importing the data.
What type of character code does Shunsaku support?
Shunsaku supports the following character codes:
- UTF-8
- Shift-JIS (Japanese)
- EUC-JP (Japanese)
- GB18030 (Chinese)
- GB2312 (Chinese)
- Big5 (Chinese)
- KSC5601 (Korean)
