Chapter 1 Overview of Troubleshooting | > 1.6 Handling Errors Related to Failovers |
If an error occurs on a search server, operations can be continued automatically in minimal time using degradation. However, to use degradation, the amount of data allocated to each searcher operating normally increases, so the same performance as before degradation cannot be expected.
After the cause of the error has been eliminated, restart the system to improve performance. The system automatically switches from post-degradation usage to normal usage when the system is restarted. However, the search data that was distributed amongst other searchers during degradation is not returned to its pre-degradation state. Therefore, re-allocate the search data.
Refer to 1.4.1 Recovering from Errors for more information.
Data cannot be updated while the search data is being reallocated.
