The formula for estimating the size of sorter log files is shown below.

*1) The number of the starting and stopping processes for sorter.

Example Calculation

An example calculation for the size of a sorter log file is shown below.

If the variable elements are as follows:

• The number of sort or aggregation API that are executed: 10,000
• The number of sorters that are running: 2
• The number of commands that are executed: 5

The size of sort or aggregation process log file

(450 x 10,000) / 2 = 2,250,000 bytes (approx. 2.3 MB)

The size of log file for executing commands

250 x 5 = 1,250 bytes
