The formula for estimating the size of sorter performance log files is shown below.

Example Calculation

An example calculation for the size of sorter performance log files is shown below.

If the variable elements are as follows:

• The number of sort or aggregation API that are executed: 10,000
• The number of sorters that are running: 2
• Average size of sort expression: 1,024 (bytes)
• Average size of return expression: 1,024 (bytes)

The size of the performance log for sort or aggregation process

(10,000 x (630 + 1,024 + 1,024))/2 = 13,390,000 bytes (approx. 13 MB)
