2.4 Setting Up Environment Files

This section explains how to set up the environment files for the Java, .NET and C APIs (hereafter abbreviated as "API environment files").

The following information is set in the API environment files.

• The host name and port number of the connection destination
• The maximum response wait time from Shunsaku
• Settings for the API snapshot function

Setting up API environment files enables the operating environment to be changed without recompiling the application.

API environment files can be specified in the following two ways:

• Specifying a Separate API Environment File for Each Machine on which the APIs are Installed
• Specifying a Separate API Environment File for each Application to be Started

Refer to Appendix A Execution Parameters in API Environment Files for more information on the settings in the API environment file.
