Chapter 1 Messages Overview

1.2 Messages Output to the Event Log Files

If the system detects an error while the system is operating, a Shunsaku system message will be output to the event log files. System status and errors can be identified by monitoring the event log files.

The message format and other relevant information are explained below.

Messages that are output to the application log (event log) appear in the following format.

Name of Shunsaku system that outputs a message after 'Shunsaku System Name ='

Message detail can also be viewed using the shunprtmsg command.

The following example shows how to display the response to the message code 'shn01100i'.

shunprtmsg -shn 01100
shn01100i
Initializing... (s*) [t*]
[Description]
The initialization process has started.
[Parameters]
s*: Module name
t*: Director identifier

Shunsaku system name will not be shown in the messages that are displayed by the shunprtmsg command.

Refer to Appendex A List of Messages Output to the Event Log for more information on the type of message codes that are output in the application log (event log).
