This chapter explains the messages related to the authentication feature.
There is no user that can be added.
All of the users registered with the storage management server are registered for the AdvancedCopy Manager management function. Therefore no user can be added.
The system interrupts processing.
To add a user, add the user to the storage management server and then register it for the AdvancedCopy Manager management function.
Authentication failed.
- An invalid user name or password was specified.
- The daemon/service of an authentication feature have stopped.
The system interrupts processing.
- Specify a valid user name or password and re-execute.
- When the daemon/service of an authentication feature have stopped, please start the demon/service of an authentication mechanism.
[Solaris/Linux version] (Daemon classification: authentication daemon)

Access was denied.
The user does not have permission to access the target.
The system interrupts processing.
Re-execute as a user with permission to access the target.
Not registered with the AdvancedCopy Manager management function or required access permission not set.
The user is not registered for any of the AdvancedCopy Manager management functions, or access permission for other than read permission is not defined for any one of the management functions.
The system interrupts processing.
Re-execute as a user with permission to access the AdvancedCopy Manager management function, or an authentication feature administrator should authorize the user to access the AdvancedCopy Manager management function, and then re-execute.
Authentication data could not be received.
Authentication data could not be received during processing of the authentication feature.
The system interrupts processing.
Collect trace data and contact a Fujitsu systems engineer.

[Solaris version]
Verify that the following package is installed. If it has not been installed, install the package:
SUNWjfpu
Encoding or decoding by authentication feature failed.
Encryption or decryption failed during processing of the authentication feature.
The system interrupts processing.
Refer to the following manual and collect the data necessary to solve the error, and then contact a Fujitsu systems engineer.
"Collecting maintenance information" in the ETERNUS SF AdvancedCopy Manager Operator's Guide
Connection to the authentication feature daemon (service) failed.
The service of the authentication feature is probably stopped.
The system interrupts processing.
Check the startup status of the authentication feature daemon/service. If it is stopped, refer to the following manual and start the applicable daemon/service. Also, restart the browser:
[Solaris/Linux version] (Daemon type: SmFwsec daemon)
"Starting and Stopping Daemons," in the "ETERNUS SF AdvancedCopy Manager Operator's Guide"
[Windows version] (Displayed service name: AdvancedCopy Manager ACL Service)
"Starting and Stopping a Service," in the "ETERNUS SF AdvancedCopy Manager Operator's Guide"
An error was detected in the authentication feature environment.
The information file of the authentication feature was probably deleted or damaged.
The system interrupts processing.
Reexecute processing or reinstall the authentication feature. If an error recurs, collect trace data and contact Fujitsu systems engineer.
An access error occurred in the authentication feature.
A file required for authentication feature operation cannot be accessed. The user does not have necessary permission or the file may be damaged.
The system interrupts processing.
Check the startup status of the authentication feature daemon/service. If it is stopped, refer to the following manual and start the applicable daemon/service.
[Solaris/Linux version] (Daemon type: SmFwsec daemon)
"Starting and Stopping Daemons," in the "ETERNUS SF AdvancedCopy Manager Operator's Guide"
[Windows version] (Displayed service name: AdvancedCopy Manager ACL Service)
"Starting and Stopping a Service," in the "ETERNUS SF AdvancedCopy Manager Operator's Guide"
If the startup status of the authentication feature daemon/service is normal, the file may be corrupt and must be reinstalled.
User information could not be obtained.
Possible causes are as follows:
(a) Login account information was changed.
(b) The user attempting to start the authentication feature service does not have necessary permission.
The system interrupts processing.
In accordance with the cause, take the following action:
(a) Log in again.
(b) [Solaris/Linux]
Start the authentication daemon as root user.
[Windows]
Provide the startup account with the Administrator privilege of the local machine. Choose [Control Panel] and then [Service] to restart the authentication feature service (Displayed service name: AdvancedCopy Manager ACL Service).
An error was detected in the system environment of the authentication feature.
One of the following causes is possible:
(a) There may be insufficient virtual memory on the system.
(b) The information on the account for login may have been changed.
(c) An exclusive processing error may have occurred during processing of the authentication feature.
(d) [Windows]
The "Server" or "NetLogon" service may be stopped.
The system interrupts processing.
In accordance with the cause, take the following action:
(a) Expand the virtual memory on the system.
(b) Log in again.
(c) [Solaris/Linux]
As the root user, execute "/opt/FJSVswssc/bin/rc.smfwsec stop" and then "/opt/FJSVswssc/bin/rc.smfwsec start".
[Windows]
Choose [Control Panel] and then [Service] to restart the authentication feature service (Displayed service name: AdvancedCopy Manager ACL Service).
(d) Choose [Control Panel] and then [Service] to verify that the "Server" or "NetLogon" service is started. Re-start the service if it is stopped.
An internal contradiction occurred.
