8.2 Operation

The required software can be downloaded on a client by taking the following steps:

1. Start the browser on the client.
2. Specify the following URL.

   http://<host name>:<port number>/download/index.html

   <host name>

   httpip (host name or IP address used for the client) of the primary or secondary management server.

   The default value of httpip is set to the IP address, which is assigned to the displayed node name as a result of executing "uname -n."

   <port number>

   Enter "8081." If the port number was changed according to "http port number", designate the number.

Procedure:

1. Display the following download screen.

   

2. Select the OS type in the software items.

   To use Web-Based Admin View, Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment Standard Edition v1.3.1 or v1.4.2 is required. Select software according to your environment.

3. Click the download button.
4. The following screen is displayed when Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment Standard Edition v1.3.1 for Windows is selected.

   

   If clicking [Yes], the file download page is displayed

   If clicking [No], the screen returns to 1.

   

   The file download page varies depending on the browser.

5. Now, Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment Standard Edition is downloaded.
6. Install the downloaded Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment Standard Edition.
