PRIMECLUSTER Web-Based Admin View Operation Guide

8.1 Installation

The download screen is provided under the package name of FJSVwvdl, and included in PRIMECLUSTER CD-ROM1.

Installation.

1. Log in with system administrator access privileges

   # su

2. Check if volm is operating. If not, start it.

   # /usr/bin/ps -ef | grep /usr/sbin/volm | grep -v grep || sh /etc/init.d/volmgt start

3. Move the current directory to the directory with the package.

   # cd <CDROM1-mountpoint>/Solaris8/products/BASE_GUIs/sparc

   Normally, <CDROM1-mountpoint> should be /cdrom/cdrom0.

4. Execute the pkgadd command.

   # pkgadd -d . FJSVwvdl

5. Go through the following interactive dialog.

   Auto Installation ? [y,n,?,q]: y

   Using </opt> as the package base directory.

   ##Package information is in progress.

   ## System information is in progress.

Install the download package after the FJSVwvbs and FJSVwvcnf packages are installed.
