To change a copy source or copy destination disk (change the LUN_V size or LUN_V number), first delete the copy source or copy destination volume, then change the disk configuration. After that, perform setup processing for the copy source or copy destination volume, and then setup processing for correcting or registering the copy set file.
These tasks must be performed before the configuration of the copy source or copy destination disk is changed. Otherwise, deletion of the copy set or of the copy source or copy destination volume may not be possible after the device configuration is changed.
In the Hyper-V guest OS, check the copy status using the stxvquery command (VSSHP status lookup command). If copy is in the copy processing state or the tracking state, execute the stxvcopy command (VSSHP backup control command) or the stxvstopall command (VSSHP batch stop command) to stop copying or the tracking process.
If QuickOPC is in the tracking state, the copy source or copy destination disk cannot be changed. If you want to change the copy destination for a transaction volume during QuickOPC backup, the tracking process must be stopped.
Delete the copy source or copy destination volume on the device to be reconfigured. Refer to "9.8.2 Deleting the Copy Source / Destination Volumes" for more information.
If there are changes in the configuration of source or replica disk partitions, initialize the disk. Refer to "8.1.6.4 Initializing Disk" for details.
Reconfigure the device.
Add the device information. Refer to "7.4.4 Fetching Device Information on Managed Server" for information about this operation.
Perform "8.1.3.2.6 Creating Copy Set File" and "8.1.3.2.7 Registering Copy Sets as Batch" to change the copy set information.
On the Hyper-V host, perform "8.1.3.2.8 Checking and Saving Copy Set Registration Contents".
Set up the copy source and copy destination volumes.
Edit a drive letter map file.
