This chapter explains the procedure for backing up or restoring the Exchange Server databases.
To understand the contents of this chapter, the reader should have a basic knowledge of Exchange Server and Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS), in addition to AdvancedCopy Manager.
Additionally, before reading this chapter, it is recommended that you read the documents that are published by Microsoft Corporation.

Check the version of Exchange Server that is in use and refer to the "High Availability and Site Resilience" > "Backup, Restore, and Disaster Recovery" section.

For backup operations for Exchange Server databases in a Storage Cluster environment, Advanced Copy cannot be executed if TFOVs that belong to a TFO group of an Active-Active configuration are specified. For information on how to execute Advanced Copy that specifies TFOVs that belong to a TFO group of an Active-Standby configuration, refer to "Chapter 12 Storage Cluster Continuous Copy Function".
