8.5 Check of Start of ETERNUS SF Storage Cruiser Optimization Option Service/Daemon

For Windows Environments

1. Click Control Panel > System and Security > Administrative Tools > Services to open the Service screen.

2. Make sure that the status of the ETERNUS SF Storage Cruiser Optimization Option service is set to "Start".

   • Check the Storage Cruiser's manager service.
     Make sure that you can log into Web Console and on the Event Log screen of Web Console, see that message esccs10000 is output.

For Solaris or Linux Environments

• ETERNUS SF Storage Cruiser Optimization Option daemon
  Execute the following command to check whether the process exists.

  # /bin/ps -ef | grep FJSVssast | grep -v grep

• Check the Storage Cruiser's manager daemon.
  Make sure that you can log into Web Console and on the Event Log screen of Web Console, see that message esccs10000 is output.
